Well, I did it…again

When the need to go analog hits like it did this snowy morning, one simply allows the flow to take over. Even though this started as an impulse, it was also an invitation of The Maker into purposeful resting. Rather than errands to run and tasks to perform, I allowed the art of intentional being to take hold. Allowing beauty to capture my eye and heart and point me back to the one who is the original artist.

One of my father’s favorite artists was Vincent Van Gogh. Vincent’s eye for the world changed the very course of what was considered art. This inspired my dad through to his own last breath, and inspires me today. So this is me trying to be more of the artist I believe I can be, and watercolor is the medium of choice.

If you hear a voice within you say 'you cannot paint,' then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.

—Vincent Van Gogh
